Sam began studying piano at the age of 5, picking up accordion and harmonium as later doubles, along with the Tuba and Euphonium.

Sam has been mentored by Broadway musical director Nate Patten since age 16 and is currently working with the likes of Brooke Shields, Nathan Lane, Jordan Donica, and dozens more. He continues to be mentored by Nate along with industry stalwarts Ted Sperling and John Miller.

Sam played his first musical at age 14 and music directed his first professional adult production in New Jersey by age 17, continuing to be an in-demand theatrical and freelance musician across the state— as well as New York City.
